Opening Times & Entry Fees
Early Bird Entry – £10 from 8:30am
Ideal for keen collectors wishing to access the fair early.
Standard Entry – £5 from 9:30am
Re-enactors Entry – £2.50 from 9:30am (when attending in uniform)
Please ensure you have the correct entry fee available on arrival.
We kindly ask all attendees to follow on-site safety instructions at all times.

Traders Information
Militaria Fairs – Detling operates with high demand, so advance booking is strongly recommended. Please avoid leaving arrangements until arrival to prevent disappointment. For bookings, call James or use the contact form on the website.
Traders can book in to arrive Saturday evening between 1900 – 2000
Sunday arriving traders should note that gates open at 0700.
No queueing is premitting on the A249.
Upon arrival, a fee of £50 is payable, after which you will be allocated a 3m x 3m pitch.
Please note this is a pitch-only event.
A limited number of tables are available on the day at £10 each (subject to availability).
For safety reasons, no vehicles are permitted inside the hall.
Getting There
The Militaria Fairs – Detling is held at the renowned Kent County Showground, a well-established and easily accessible venue in the heart of Kent. This is the same impressive location that hosts Military Odyssey, the largest multi-period living history event in Europe, making it a familiar and respected site for enthusiasts, traders, and collectors alike.
The showground offers excellent facilities, wide open spaces, and a welcoming atmosphere for visitors from across the UK and beyond. Ample on-site car parking is available, ensuring a convenient and stress-free visit whether you are attending for a few hours or the entire day.
Travel by Car
Military Odyssey is held at the Kent Event Centre, easily accessible by car just off the A249 dual carriageway.
- From the M20 Motorway: Exit the motorway at junction (7) and follow signs to Sittingbourne, Sheerness A249. Follow the A249 for approximately 2 miles; the Kent Event Centre and Kent Showground are clearly signposted on the left-hand side after the brow of the hill.
- From the M2 Motorway: Exit the motorway at junction (5) signposted (M20) Maidstone A249. Follow the A249 for approximately 5 miles. Please be aware that cars cannot cross over the carriage way to the Showground on the right-hand side of the road. Continue on the A249 to the roundabout at the bottom of Detling hill, then follow the M20 directions above.Post Code For SatNAV: ME14 3JF
